legacy

Photographing weddings is not just my profession and passion, it is a study of life, love and family. What have been the most unexpected, and by far the most rewarding parts are the special connections I have made with clients. Whether they are shared on the wedding day as a tremendous experience or it extends to new milestones, I have enjoyed photographing my client's babies and children, meeting them for lunch while I’m passing through New York City, following their cross-country moves on Instagram or staying in touch as true friends. Whatever the connection, the bond of being your WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER will forever remain a great honor of my life.

…as you know I was extremely concerned about how I would look due to the effects of chemo, that I wouldn’t be able to look as I always hoped to look on my wedding day. Kate, I have never felt MORE BEAUTIFUL than I do when I look at your photos. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

As I click through the images my jaw dropped on more than one occasion. A few brought tears and some brought laughter. Overall they absolutely blew me away. How you mixed the use of light and film was amazing. You captured the beauty of the moment but actually enhanced it with your technique. I am no expert on photography - but this is ART.

“From our first chat, I felt you were the right storyteller to capture our day.  As our plans changed, I was relieved knowing you would be part of the midst-pandemic, new intimate celebration we kept planning. Thank you for being such an important part of the most important day of our lives.

Thank you for making me feel at ease.

For convincing the rain gods to give us a break.

For crouching on sharp stones during the ceremony.

For cramming in the backseat of a tiny convertible.

But above all, thank you for being so generous in spirit throughout this whole process. I’m so glad we found you.”

“I had been an admirer of your work for seven years now…so to have this dream come true to work with you was incredible. You’re simply the best.”

I cannot express how grateful we are for our wedding photos. They are truly a work of art. When I first saw your work, I just loved how you use color in motion and I can clearly see this within my photos.

However, what I appreciate the most about working with you was having you there on our special day. You made me laugh and you made me feel very special throughout the day.

These photos are UNBELIEVABLE. Thank you thank you, thank you. I cannot wait to get some printed and framed.

Sincerely,

Devon

I remember thinking that I wished you could capture certain things, but I never got around to tell you, yet somehow you did. Somehow you managed to capture it all, and not just do justice to a special day, but to create vignettes within it, shining your light on all of the many special moments within the day I'll never forget. I keep marveling at the energy and emotion and movement you caught, and diving back in to look through again and again. And again and again. I know you've been doing this for a long time, but you brought such enthusiasm and joy to it, as if you were just as new to this kind of special occasion as I was. THANK YOU. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.
